Tour Journal - January, 2019

The last few months were a great end to a great year, capped off at Port City Music Hall with our favorite group of people in the world in the audience, and the wonderful Say Darling opening the show. The full set is available over on archive.org if anybody’s interested in checking that out (shout out to our buddy Bob for taping).

The fall was heavy touring and we had some fine times and met some fine people out in Colorado, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, etc. etc. Shout out to People’s Blues of Richmond, Palm Palm, Morgan Wade, Holy Roller, the Read Southall Band, and all the other class acts we were lucky enough to share the stage with out there.

We’ve put together a live album from our show at Port City Music Hall on December 29, 2017, and we’re very excited to share that with the world. A live album has been a long time coming, and we think we caught a nice one here. Pete Nenortas of Satronen Sound did the recording, Jon Wyman did the mixing and mastering at the Halo, and Kelly Trophy did the design. We’ll be releasing it in March, and it’s available for pre-order over on the online store currently.

Scott over at Eminence Arts is working hard finishing up the calendar for the spring and summer, but in the mean time we’re staying plenty busy and there are a bunch of chances for you to come hang in the next few months; we’d love to see ya.

*** By the by, back home we’ve got some changes afoot, with our beloved Chuck Gagne heading off to greener pastures where we wish him nothing but the best. He’ll be replaced by the indomitable Chris Dow, a longtime friend and hero who Maine folk might recognize from A Band Beyond Description, Elderberry Jam or Gypsy Tailwind, among other projects. Chris kicked off his tenure with a weekend at Moose Alley in Rangeley this past weekend and we’re absolutely thrilled to have him on the roster. Godspeed, Charles!
